Content Licensing

Exclusive vs. Non-Exclusive ABA Social Media Content

Understand one-buyer availability, multi-buyer products and the permissions to check before you post.

Exclusive ABA social media content is offered to one buyer under the product's stated terms. Multi-buyer content can be sold to more than one customer. Both may use a one-time payment, so a single payment does not by itself make a product exclusive.

The right choice depends on your brand needs, budget and the actual permissions included. Read the listing and checkout terms rather than guessing from a preview image.

Separate availability from permissions

A buyer limit answers how many customers can purchase the item. A license answers what the buyer may do with it. Editing, reposting, commercial use, source-file access and redistribution are separate questions.

Do not assume that an exclusive listing includes copyright ownership, unlimited business use or permission to resell the files. If a permission matters to your plan, ask the seller to clarify it before paying. This is a purchase-planning checklist, not legal advice about a particular agreement.

Compare the options by your business need

A multi-buyer carousel can be a practical option for a general educational theme. An exclusive visual may suit a brand that wants a particular piece to remain unavailable to other buyers. A fully custom brief may be a better fit when you need specific services, original wording or a unique campaign.

Ask these questions before purchase

How many businesses or accounts may use the content? May you add your logo or change wording? Which file types are delivered? Are fonts, photos or other included assets subject to additional terms? What happens if an item is described as exclusive? Where are refund conditions explained?

For imported products on our store, review the seller's Gumroad terms. A category label on a browsing page should not replace the underlying product agreement. If a preview and a checkout description disagree, ask for clarification before proceeding.

How our exclusive collection works

Our Exclusive Contents collection is for available one-buyer products. Our policy is that, once a purchase is confirmed, the item is removed from sale and the same content is not sold or licensed to another buyer.

Your purchase still follows the stated product license. A sold listing may remain in our private team records so we can manage the catalog. That administrative record does not make the content available for another purchase.

If your project has additional requirements, put them in a custom content request. Describe the audience, intended accounts or business entities, formats, number of pieces and any editing or exclusivity needs. Agreement on those details should come before the final purchase.

Keep a small content-license record

Save the product title, seller, purchase date, listing link, applicable terms and delivered files in your business's approved storage. Record which account or entity uses the item. This helps your team avoid treating every design in a shared folder as having identical permissions.

If a colleague wants to use the same file for another business, check the terms first. A file being easy to copy is not evidence that copying is included in the purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Is exclusive content the same as custom content?

No. A ready-made item can be sold exclusively. Custom content is created around a brief, and its buyer limits and permissions still need to be agreed.

Does a one-time purchase mean nobody else can buy the post?

No. One-time purchase usually describes the payment arrangement. Look for a specific one-buyer or exclusive offer when availability to other customers matters.
